Mission
TechGurus are here to help and support both staff and students at BDSC with their use of ICT.
Services
Whanau presentations
Part of the services we provide includes presenting at Whanau assemblies with a view to increasing awareness of the ICT facilities we have available at the school. The hope/objective is that we can try to reduce the problem of people "not knowing what they don't know".
Tuesday Lunchtime Training (L1.1)
We also provide weekly training sessions for staff and students. The topics are determined by requests gathered through our
training request section. Many of the training sessions we deliver are also recorded in our
archive as a backup or record for those who miss a session or who, at a later date find themselves in need of the training.
Hardware support
TechGurus are also trained to help setup and support ICT equipment around the school including, projectors, switches, sound equipment (including Gym and PAC), mouse, keyboard repair or replacement, troubleshooting printer errors etc.
