Please note that these discussions are moderated and inappropriate material will be deleted.

Winter Uniform for Term Two & Three
Please be aware that in Term Two & Three students are required to wear the winter variation of our school uniform. This means that girls are to wear navy-blue socks or tights (no other colours) and that senior boys are expected to wear their school tie. Senior girls may also wear the tie if they wish. Students may wear the school scarf and jacket outdoors and into their whanau commons but must remove them before entering classrooms. Some students have never worn a tie before and may like to practise during the holidays using the instructions (step by step videos and diagrams) on http://www.tie-a-tie.net/. Students are welcome to wear undershirts for warmth as long as they are not visible. A white v-neck, with sleeves matching the length of the shirt sleeves, firmly tucked in at the waist is recommended.

Discovery Whanau Singlets & Polos Discovery students are encouraged to buy the official whanau singlet or polo shirt for occasions like Athletics Day when we want to look like a team. These are high-quality, good-looking garments that, if you order a roomy fit, can last your whole time at BDSC. Our resident Art & Technology teachers, Mr Whibley and Mr Achary, will hold after-school screen-printing sessions allowing students to customise their singlets and polos with the whanau logo.
