Permission to drive to BDSC

Students intending to drive to College need to complete the permission form and hand it in to their Whanau Leader who will issue a pass. The pass should be presented on demand. The details of vehicles are recorded for reference when the College receives queries.

Students should pay attention to the restrictions on parking in the College grounds (no parking), surrounding streets (limited parking opportunities) and at Botany Town Centre (restricted parking that may lead to being towed away and substantial cost being incurred).

Permission form

Extract from the letter:

The Botany Downs Secondary College Board of Trustees encourages all students to walk to school.  This is beneficial for the environment, for the health of our children and does not lead to traffic/parking issues with the local community.

We also realise that there may be occasions when students need to drive.  To enable this to happen we would expect parents to complete the details below providing the following information:

Reason for driving request
Copy of Driver’s Licence Registration and
details of car to be used (make, colour, etc)

No passengers should be carried in the cars unless prior arrangement is made that notifies the parents and the College.

The College will take no responsibility for the car or its contents.

Parents must accept responsibility for the Health and Safety of their child travelling to and from the College.
